What you’ll be doing:

You will be responsible for helping to build the sales pipeline across APAC, leading a team of 3 Business Development Representatives covering SEA, ANZ, and Japan. This role is well suited to a candidate with both individual contributor and leadership experience, with potential to move into a full-time management position as the team scales.

  • Team Lead responsibilities (50%):
    • Collaborate closely with the Global Director of Business Development to develop and implement the APAC business development strategy, in line with global initiatives and best practices.
    • Lead the APAC business development team to achieve targets by providing mentorship, strategic direction, and support.
    • Drive team performance through setting clear goals, monitoring KPIs, and conducting regular reviews to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages shared success and knowledge exchange.
    • Identify growth opportunities within the region and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop targeted approaches for market entry and expansion.
    • Represent the APAC region in global business development meetings, contributing regional insights and taking part in shaping the company’s international business development agenda.
  • Individual Contributor responsibilities (50%):
    • Targeted outbound demand generation: Contacting stakeholders in your target account list via emails, phone calls, and social media to drive awareness of how RELEX can help solve their unique challenges.
    • Schedule qualified meetings for the Sales team.
    • Cooperate closely with the regional sales team to support the growth of the sales pipeline through targeted prospecting activities.
    • Research your list of target accounts and the key stakeholders within them to craft and deliver personalised and compelling messaging.
    • Help promote various events (physical and virtual) in advance, and follow-up post-event to qualify registrations.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Experience in Business/Sales Development as an individual contributor.
  • Experience leading other reps, either as a player-coach or manager.
  • Experience prospecting in or leading a team across multiple markets.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills.
  • Relentless drive and commitment to team success.
  • Proficiency with CRM (e.g. Salesforce or HubSpot), Sales Engagement tools (e.g. Salesloft or Outreach) and lead intel tools (e.g. Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo, Lusha, or Apollo). This is not an exhaustive list.
  • Passion for continuous learning and development.

What we consider as an advantage:  

  • Based in Bangkok, Thailand. Note that this is not a requirement, but we have an office and growing presence in Bangkok.
    • If based in Thailand, fluent in English and Thai.
  • Demonstrable potential to move into management position in the future.
