In our Business Logic team you will be building new capabilities to improve our solution offering for CPG & MFG (Consumer Packaged Goods and Manufacturing) companies. The functionalities we work on include optimizing production, distribution and purchasing plans as well as modelling and processing the data required to do so.
Join us as a Java Developer and this is some of what you’ll be doing:
- Designing and developing new functionality based on customer needs, such as optimizing production plans according to customer demand, raw material availability and production line capacity.
- Designing and developing end-to-end testing capabilities for the solutions we build.
- Developing and testing different parts of the business logic, including modelling customer data in our database, processing, writing and reading according to the business logic needs as well as algorithms whose outputs are as our customers expect
- Developing and maintaining software components primarily in Java, with some parts written in Kotlin and Python
- Learning about the CPG & MFG industry and customer needs
- Ensuring that we can execute our solutions with the required performance and run times with big data volumes
We’re looking for:
- Experience in production-quality software development with Java
- 3+ years of experience in business logic/back-end development
- Solid understanding of data structures, and business logic and developing production quality solutions.
- Eagerness to design, plan and communicate what and how we are to build solutions
- Understanding and wanting to learn how CPG & MFG companies operate.
- Passion for designing and implementing solutions to non-trivial problems in a performant way.
- Knowledge of test engineering best practices is considered a plus.
- Understanding the importance of writing good covering tests and doing thorough code reviews.
- Positive and open-minded attitude with a strive to learn.
