What you will be doing
Working closely with the Account Executives, Field Presales Principals and the Project Delivery team you will be working in a challenging and fast-paced environment to close new software deals / projects and maximize business value and advice for both new and existing RELEX customers. The Lead Industry Strategist leverages their extensive retail and manufacturing industry knowledge (business process and industry best practices) to effectively position the RELEX solution to address the prospects’ and customers’ needs and challenges and strategic goals. A critical component is translating the prospects’ needs to organizational requirements, and business value and ROI the underlying RELEX solution offering can enable. You would also be helping the leadership of our clients to translate their strategic vision into a concrete plan with the right priorities.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Comprehensive understanding of the business value of working with RELEX to create compelling value cases for prospects and existing customers
- Understanding the customer’s current situation and strategic goals and assisting them in creating transformation plans and organisational restructuring as needed for goal attainment.
- Build the prospects’ confidence and trust in the RELEX software as well as RELEX team’s and partners’ ability to deliver on their strategic goals and deliver that business value,
- Creating a collaboration vision and supporting the alignment of RELEX, their partners, and the customer for successful implementations and solution use
- Assisting in helping potential & existing customers to understand what it takes from their organization to get the best out of RELEX.
- Trouble shooting within challenging projects to assist getting them back on track.
- Collaborate with internal functional groups including: Professional Services, Central Presales, Product Strategy, and Product Management
- Take part in reference management – assisting in identifying best fit references with current customers
- Interacting with clients and presenting to prospect audiences especially senior management and executive level
- Presenting at industry and customer events both external and organized by RELEX
- Develop and customize material for key decision makers
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Broad industry expertise in retail
- Experience of having managed and delivered large scale transformation and value within a retailer
- Ideally experience across optimisation of a) Supply Chain Planning, b) Space, Range, Assortment, c) Pricing and Promotions
- Ideally experience across more than one retail sector (for example grocery, DIY, fashion, electronics, home, health & beauty)
- Detailed understanding of retail business process and application landscapes with practical experience from retail organisations
- In-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape
- Experience building business cases, ROI models, talking through relevant KPIs to key decision makers
- Possess leadership skills and a willingness to mentor peers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to challenge customer thinking in a constructive and positive way
- Value selling – translate the customer’s issues/pain points to the value and ROI RELEX will deliver
- Flexible and adaptable approach – being able to communicate advanced logic to a broad audience
- Comfort with travel across the entire EMEA region
