RELEX is growing in Australia and is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Based in Sydney) whose main responsibilities will be owning and managing Enterprise software implementation projects, through all the phases of a project lifecycle in the field of retail merchandising and supply chain management. As the project lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of the RELEX software by building senior customer relationships, setting out the project strategy, negotiating, escalation regarding scope, resource and commercials, and ensuring projects meet the KPI expectations of both RELEX and the customer. Ensuring all timelines are met by overseeing project plans, budget and communication plans by the wider project team including senior stakeholders. Additionally, you will occasionally support the sales team by providing insights on project timelines, resourcing needs, and overall project approach.

Travel will be required to visit customers on a regular basis or occasionally to meet with the RELEX teams in our other offices. The local operations team is part of the ANZ region so there is a great opportunity to oversee client projects in both Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Leading the implementation of key implementation projects spanning different customer accounts. Participating in consultancy, and software implementation projects.
Tasks include:
- Accountable for delivering project scope and ensuring achievement of the customer’s business benefits within agreed budget & timelines
- Accountable for project profitability and reporting
- Accountable for the project plan with the project team
- Accountable for coordinating with Customer Project Managers engaged on RELEX projects
- Guiding and agreeing the communication plan, including internal and external steering group meetings
- Responsible for creating and maintaining customer relationships with key stakeholders (Director/Executive level)
- Responsible for managing project risks, issues and dependencies
- Responsible for project management duties including team coordination and task management
- Ensuring that all stakeholders are adequately informed of project progress internally & externally
- Accountable for project scope and project commercials
- Acting as an escalation point for key decisions or bottlenecks from the project team
- Attending suitable industry or RELEX events if needed
- Attending training and developing relevant knowledge and skills
Key requirements:
- Experience leading successful IT system implementations within large Enterprise customers ($5m+ budget)
- Experience of senior positions on governance or steering committees
- Retail or Supply Chain Industry knowledge
- Experience managing a complex network of internal and external senior stakeholders
- Experience presenting, consulting and convincing senior audiences on change management practices
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to interact confidently with customer stakeholders, influence and negotiate
- Strong risk analysis and risk management plans; being able to look ahead mitigating risk, and steering the strategic direction of projects appropriately
- Project Management/PMP or equivalent formal certification
- Experience in project management methodologies: e.g. Waterfall, Agile, Scaled Agile
What we consider a strong plus:
- Qualified to degree level OR sustained experience leading IT systems implementations
- Experience working in a SaaS business
- Entrepreneurial attitude with interest towards growing the business
- Experience with a Grocery / CPG / FMCG retailer or supplier
- Ability to understand SCM systems from both business and IT perspectives
- Any Project Management qualifications
- Experience working in Consultancy roles
