We are now looking for a System Engineer to join our RELEX family in Helsinki. You’ll be joining the IT Service Delivery and Development team. Currently, we’re a team of four, but we have plans to expand into a larger department. Together with the team, our goal is to transform RELEX IT into a strategic partner for the business—a more business-driven and service-oriented entity. This transition is vital to better support the company’s growth and strategic objectives.
In this role, you will work on critical IT software solutions, closely collaborating with business counterparts. This entails acting as the technical owner of applications in our daily development work and leading and coordinating projects within this area.
With your can-do attitude, you will collaborate to develop and enhance finance solutions alongside business counterparts, the Service Delivery Manager, other IT teams, and external partners.
What you’ll be doing:
- Act as a technical specialist in our group systems. Manage and provide 2nd-level user support, channel and prioritize inquiries from end-users, including the analysis and solving of technical incidents, and follow-up of resolutions in co-operation with other IT teams and the external software vendor.
- Lead and coordinate internal development projects related to finance systems and processes according to the assigned roadmap.
- Conduct analysis with business representatives to formulate technical solution design/specifications and identify and prioritize new business requirements and cloud-related activities.
- Managing system development backlogs and roadmap.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the business across RELEX offices.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Understanding of programming, database, and query languages (e.g., SQL, REST API, PowerShell, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Python)
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted infrastructure, including installation, configuration, integration, and backup and disaster recovery plan
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or information technology.
- Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, social, presentation, and communication skills are needed.
- Experience in agile and other development method
What we consider as an advantage:
- Solid technical experience with systems such as NetSuite, Pigment, Incentive compensation management software, or expense management platforms.
- Experience in ERP development (including configuration) in a global environment.
- Experience of E2E financial processes and data flows
- ITIL certification
