DIA Supermercado, creator of the concept of the small neighborhood-based wholesale store, chose RELEX Solutions, a provider of unified supply chain and retail planning solutions, to optimize demand forecasting and replenishment across their operations. Wysupp, a RELEX partner, will lead the implementation. The choice was made based on the solution’s capabilities to automate and optimize planning decisions across the company’s entire supply chain.

By leveraging RELEX AI-driven forecasting and replenishment capabilities, Dia Brasil will automate and improve its supply chain planning processes, enabling better product availability, increased efficiency, and more competitive pricing.
The solution will support Dia Brasil’s 244 stores and one distribution center to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product availability for customers. The RELEX solution is particularly adept at managing fresh products, which require precise demand forecasting due to their short shelf life and high spoilage rates. By optimizing the replenishment of fresh items, Dia Brasil will ensure better product availability and reduce waste.
“We’re excited to support Dia Brasil on this transformative journey. We have a deep understanding of the Brazilian market and the unique needs of the grocery industry. This knowledge will help us ensure the success of this initiative and drive growth.”, said Sandra Oliveira, General Manager at Wysupp.
“Improving our supply chain efficiency is today our top priority,” said Mauro Taka, DIA’s CIO. “We anticipate significant benefits, including enhanced customer satisfaction, reduced costs, and increased sales, as we deliver on our promise of competitive pricing and better product availability”, he explains.
“Dia Brasil is our first supermarket customer in the Brazilian market,” said Carlos Victoria, Senior Vice President for the Americas at RELEX. “We have a solid reputation across the globe for optimizing grocery operations to achieve greater supply chain efficiency, and we’re excited to bring this expertise to their business. By leveraging our proven capabilities, we’ll help Dia Brasil streamline operations and meet their ambitious goals for growth and customer satisfaction.”
