Globus Fachmärkte Improves Forecast Accuracy with RELEX

German hardware and DIY retailer achieves significant process improvements with the RELEX forecasting and stock replenishment solution.

Globus Fachmärkte GmbH & Co. KG, one of the leading hardware and DIY retailers in Germany, headquartered in Völklingen (federal state of Saarland), has selected RELEX Solutions to optimize its sales forecasting and stock replenishment workflows. As a result, Globus was able to improve product availability while reducing inventory, overstocks, and shortages.

Globus Fachmärkte, with 88 stores in stores in Germany and two in Luxembourg and employs a total of around 9,000 people. The company generates sales of two billion euros and was named the most customer-friendly hardware store in Germany in 2023 for the 13th time in a row.  

With the decision to replace its existing forecasting and scheduling solution with RELEX’s solutions, the company aims to optimize operations and provide its customers with a first-class shopping experience by ensuring that the right products are delivered based on an accurate forecast and scheduling. The goal is to reduce excess inventory and improve availability. This is achieved by improving forecast accuracy, resulting in more effective, automated and economical dispatching across all markets.
