Kolonial.no, the largest and fastest-growing online fresh food retailer in Norway, and RELEX Solutions, provider of unified retail optimization solutions, have been jointly awarded the Supply Chain Visibility Award. The award was presented at the 2020 Supply Chain Excellence Awards, which were held online on November 12, 2020.

The Supply Chain Visibility Award recognizes projects that demonstrate excellence in supply chain visibility throughout the supply chain. The judges sought evidence of excellence in execution, strategy, performance management, and collaboration, with a focus on projects that demonstrated innovation, sustainability, use of technology, and ethical practices.

Since 2017, Kolonial.no has partnered with RELEX to improve availability while simultaneously cutting costs and waste through better forecasting and replenishment. Since implementing RELEX, Kolonial.no has been able to increase inventory turnover by 25% and reduce waste by 44%.

“The successful long-term collaboration between RELEX and Kolonial.no has been nothing short of amazing, and the RELEX team consistently goes above and beyond with the support that they provide to us.”

We see this recognition as proof that efficient supply chains are a key differentiator for any modern retailer.”

Kolonial.no recently took part in a panel discussion about the current and future state of retail at the 2020 RELEX Live: Global Retail Summit. André Knüppel, COO of Kolonial.no, shared his thoughts on how the COVID-19 crisis has impacted retail, how technology can improve supply chain practices, and which tools and processes retailers need to successfully meet shifting consumer demand across channels.
