Nordic Nest Group Selects RELEX Solutions to Boost Forecast Accuracy and Promotional Effectiveness

Leading interiors design online retailer leverages RELEX advanced solutions to boost operational efficiency and drive growth.

Nordic Nest Group, a premium Scandinavian interiors design retailer has expanded its footprint with RELEX Solutions, a provider of unified supply chain and retail planning solutions. Nordic Nest Group will implement promotion evaluation and reporting along with machine learning (ML)-based forecasting to enhance availability, forecast accuracy, and promotion effectiveness complementing the existing RELEX forecasting and replenishment solution already in place.  

Founded in 2002, Nordic Nest Group is an interior design retailer specializing in homeware from designers across the region. The global e-commerce company shares their knowledge and passion for Scandinavian interior design, offering over 85,000 design products from over 350 brands. Nordic Nest has grown significantly, becoming the biggest e-commerce business in premium interior design within the Nordic region.  

With RELEX, Nordic Nest Group sought to enhance their capabilities with ML-based forecasting. This new implementation allows Nordic Nest Group to incorporate various demand-influencing factors such as promotions, seasons and weekdays, resulting in more accurate demand predictions. Improved forecasts enable Nordic Nest to manage inventory effectively, reducing stockouts or overstock situations, and ensure better product availability. Additionally, insight into demand factors allows for informed decisions regarding marketing strategies and promotions.  

To support this, RELEX promotion evaluation and reporting will be implemented to effectively review promotions data, identify top performing or underperforming promotions, and plan future events. This detailed analysis allows Nordic Nest Group to fine-tune their promotional strategies, better tailoring them to meet customer needs. Further, this aids long-term decision making and ensures better returns on investment for promotions.
