Prisma Peremarket to Unify Retail and Supply Chain Planning with RELEX
Oct 15, 2024 • 2 minLongstanding RELEX customer expands footprint to fully unify store operations from inventory to shelf placement.
Prisma Peremarket, a well-known Estonian grocery retail brand operated by SOK, has selected RELEX Solutions, a provider of unified supply chain and retail planning solutions, to expand their existing RELEX footprint. This expansion will include space and assortment planning, machine learning (ML) forecasting, seasonal planning, and fresh optimization capabilities. This will allow Prisma Peremarket to fully unify their store operations, ensuring seamless integration from inventory management to shelf placement.
Prisma Peremarket is a staple in the Estonian retail landscape. With 13 stores and a wide range of products exceeding 70,000 SKUs, Prisma Peremarket prides itself on providing a smooth shopping experience for their customers. Prisma Peremarket successfully utilized RELEX for demand forecasting and replenishment, significantly improving their store operations. Like many retailers, Prisma Peremarket faced challenges in their operations which impacted on their ability to deliver the best possible service. With this new expansion, they will be able to address store-specific demand more effectively and react swiftly to market change.
“By expanding our use of RELEX, we aim to gain efficiencies through process automation and streamlining, allowing us to react more quickly to market changes,” said Juri Ljaskin, VP of Supply Chain Management, Store Process Development, and Sustainability at Prisma Peremarket. “We believe in the unified product vision and constant innovation from RELEX, and we are excited to continue our journey with them.”
The integration of space and assortment planning, including store specific planograms, will help Prisma Peremarket address store-specific demand and have more flexibility to react to market changes such as seasonal trends and shifts in consumer preferences. Previously, they used a standalone solution for planogramming. Now, with RELEX, space planning will be better aligned with consumer demand and replenishment needs. Assortment management, which has been a very manual process involving spreadsheets, will now be streamlined into one unified solution.
Overall, Prisma Peremarket aims to improve assortment and space management, leading to better in-store customer experiences, increased sales, and decreased spoilage of fresh goods.
Specific goals of this project include:
- Reduce handling and inventory costs
- Improve optimization for products and categories
- Eliminate poorly performing products and support introduction of better-performing ones
- Increase shelf space for top performing products while streamlining the number of deliveries
The implementation of the space planning solution will be carried out by Athena, a RELEX partner and fully owned company specializing in this field.
“We have had a great cooperation and longstanding relationship with Prisma Peremarket,” said Tiina Kanninen, VP of Customer Success at RELEX. “We are excited to support their journey to a fully unified supply chain and retail planning solution and strategy and look forward to continuing to deliver tangible benefits quickly.”
