Stockmann Gains Valuable Supply Chain Insights with RELEX Solutions
Mar 12, 2024 • 2 minExpands relationship with RELEX for supply chain diagnostics capabilities to elevate the customer experience while increasing sales.
Stockmann, a premium multi-brand retailer in Finland and the Baltics, has expanded their footprint with RELEX Solutions, provider of unified supply chain and retail planning solutions, to better understand the root causes of stockouts, and prevent and minimize lost sales. Stockmann will leverage the RELEX supply chain diagnostics capabilities to augment the forecasting and replenishment solutions already deployed. Their goal is to ensure a superior shopping experience for consumers, while increasing retail margins.
Stockmann piloted and now fully deployed supply chain diagnostics capabilities from RELEX at the end of 2023. With these capabilities in place, Stockmann can automatically identify root causes of stockouts, something that has previously required both time and manual effort from users and analysts. Now it is quick and easy for Stockmann to check and communicate the supply chain status daily in every part of the organization, quantify the impact of stockouts, and focus on fixing the root causes. This collaborative effort reflects a mutual commitment to leveraging technology for supply chain efficiency.
“The digitalization of the supply chain has been strongly on our agenda for the past couple of years. The collaboration with RELEX in terms of supply chain transparency and diagnostics has been transformative for us. Everyone working in the supply chain should familiarize themselves with this,” said Tuomas Tiilikainen, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Stockmann.
Since the pilot concluded, users have been very receptive to using it, shifting their focus from data analysis to taking action and being proactive. Stockmann has already been able to decrease the number of stockouts and thereby reduce resultant sales losses, which supports one of their core values: Focus on Customer.
“Pairing supply chain diagnostics with our forecasting and replenishment capabilities illuminates the path to efficiency and optimization, uncovering hidden insights, fine-tuning processes, and enhancing performance,” said Mikko Kärkkäinen, co-founder and group CEO, RELEX. “We are pleased to expand our relationship with Stockmann to help them delve deeper into stockout challenges, and give them valuable insights into potential challenges before they arise.”
